An aluminium processing company is using a WaterSam® measuring station to monitor the effluent.The station is composed of four autosamplers and two measuring compartments for measurement of pH and conductivity. Samples are taken out of four different pressure pipes. Excess measuring medium is lead back into a pressure pipe.

After an initial consignment of 20 samplers in the year 2000 further 50 units have been ordered in 2003. These especially developped samplers for highly contaminated tannery waste water are installed in a main zone of leather industry between Florence and Pisa in Italy. The sampler is controlled by a magnetic-inductive flowmeter. A datalogger registrates the required data. They can be downloaded remotely via data line or GSM modem.

A Russian pulp factory near the Finish border is monitoring their waste water with the special WS INLINECUT® sampling system for pressure pipes. The samples are drawn out of the pipeline and flow into the refrigerated sampler cabinet where they are stored. No excess water has to be lead to a drain.
